Park opened April
1982. The Metrodome is the
only stadium to play host to a World Series (1987 &1991), baseball’s All
Star Game (1985), the NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament (1992 &
2001) and the Super Bowl (1992).
The building is also home to the NFL Vikings and stadium crews
can change the playing field from baseball to football, and vice versa,
in four hours.
